What is ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE ?

Hello guys, today's topic is going to be so interesting because this is about the technology which is going to change our earth's future.

So without wasting time let's see the definition.
ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGE:
"Every aspect of intelligence or any other feature of intelligence can in principle be so precisely described that a machine can be made to simulate it.An attempt will be made to find how to make machines use languages, form abstractions and concepts, solve kinds of problems now reserved for humans, and improve themselves".
So now let's understand what does this definition meant.
AI is a machine with the ability to solve problems that usually done by us humans with our natural intelligence.

The original seven aspects of "AI" according to "JOHN MCCARTHY".

  1. Simulating higher functions of human brain.
  2. Programming a computer to use general languages.
  3. Arranging hypothetical neurons in a manner.so,that they can form concepts.
  4. A way to determine and measure problem complexity.
  5. Self improvement.
  6. ABSTRACTION:Defined as the quality of dealing with ideas rather than events.
7.Randomness and creativity.

From the above aspects how many we have achieved.
So,After the research of 63 years,I think realistically we have completed  language, measure problem complexity and self improvement to at least some degree.
However randomness and creativity is just started to be explore.

WHAT IS INTELLIGENCE?

ACCORDING TO "JACK COPELAND" who has written several books on "AI" .Some of the important facts of intelligence are as follows.

1.GENERALIZATION LEARNING- It is the learning that able to learn on to be able to perform better in situation not encountered previously.
2.REASONING-The  reasoning is to draw conclusions appropriate to the situation in the hand.
3.PROBLEM SOLVING-It is like that, given such and such data find x.
4.PRECEPTION-Analysing a scanned environment and analysing features and relations between objects.example-self driving car.
5.LANGUAGE UNDERSTANDING-Understanding a language by following syntax and other roles just like humans.
For example-machine learning, computer vision, natural language processing etc.

There are also different types of AI in terms of approach.
1. STRONG AI- This type of AI can simulate human brain or it can even perform better than humans.
2. WEAK AI-On the other hand weak AI can achieves only the results of a human.

But these days there is actually a new type of middle ground between strong and weak AI.This is a system inspired by human reasoning but does not have to stick to it.
IBM WATSON IS AN EXAMPLE.you can check it out through the below link.
It reads a lot of information builds up evidence to say that "I AM X PERCENT CONFIDENT THAT THIS IS THE RIGHT ANSWER FOR THE QUESTION THAT YOU HAVE ASKED ME FROM THE INFORMATION THAT I HAVE READ".
GOOGLE DEEP LEARNING-It is similar as it mimics the structure of human brain by using neurons network. But doesn't follows it's functions exactly. The system uses nodes that act as artificial neuron connecting information.
Now going a step deeper,Neurons that works are actually the subset of machine learning.
So, what's "MACHINE LEARNING"
ML is the first algorithm that enables software to increase it's performance over the time as it obtain more data.
This is the programme by input output examples rather than just coding.
So now before we finish just one last concept. All the AI algorithms expert systems.
So what's an expert system?
It is a type of system that employes human knowledge in a computer to solve problems that are ordinarily required human expertise.Basically it's an practical application of knowledge data base.
Summary-
AI is a machine or computer program that learns how to do tasks with the required from of intelligence that are usually done by humans.
